Wave Centre Promises FREE Internet for All
Wave Centre is a small battery powered WiFi router, designed by Trusted Office, London. The device promises free WiFi Internet to its users. The beautifully designed device resembles its predecessors MyFi with respect to functionality however MyFi is a subscription 3G to WiFi gadget, the Wave Centre is actually 100% Subscription FREE. The Wave Centre also allows up to 8 WiFi connections whereas the MyFi product only recommends a maximum of 5 connected devices.
The interesting question on everyone's mind is how is this possible ? Free internet forever ? Well amazingly the UK is about to spend £5Billion in 2012 on digital advertising. Google's Dr Eric Schmidt is also recorded saying that this emerging market is likely to grow from $10Billion to $200Billion in the next three years. What Trusted Office's team have managed to do is get the advertisers to finance the data consumption costs which free's the end-user up from paying anything, except the initial £99.99 inc VAT hardware costs.
Though there is a cost for the device which ships in early February 2012, Technical Director, Sion Buckler, believes the device "will quickly become a free technology in accordance with Buckler's Barrier which has served me so well all these years". Buckler's Barrier Technology Law combines Metcalfe’s Law, Gilder’s Law and Moore's Law which concludes that technology as a whole will be free, invisible and anticipative. The Wave Centre could be the first product on the market that promises a tangible technology that gives us this.
The technology, which ships in Feb 2012 also helps the WiFi industry take shape and it helps the industry develop new and exciting partnerships with advertisers and the public alike. "WiFi is a great mechanism to bridge the gap between advertisers and mobile-device users. Trusted Office has simply unlocked this more possibility in this sector with the innovative platform we've developed" says Regan Webb, the new Senior Business Development Manager at Trusted Office. The monetisation of the WiFi industries UK infrastructure has been close to zero until the Wave Centre was designed and developed which is set to kickstart the multi billion dollar industry in the UK that Dr Eric Schmidt spoke of in the IAB Annual Meeting in 2011.
Partners in this service include Mobile Interactive Group who were selected as the preferred development partner to create the mobile experience for the Wave Centre customers. G24 Innovations are the preferred tender to source a solar solution which ensures the device is eco friendly as well as just another 2012 gadget. The assembly line for the first product line is to be managed by its long standing partners KMS Components and shipped to resellers via it's partners Pixmania Pro.
Several venture capitalists have been in investment opportunity discussions with Trusted Office surrounding the new Wave Centre product and the companies direction, including Miami based IFone Inc, Bristol Based Business Growth Fund and a third private investors in Columbia. The Wave Centre product is the first innovative start-up off the silicon valley radar that promises advertisers, the public and ad-agencies alike a game changing cloud technology platform for 2012.
Other companies in this space are JI Wire who received $20Million in May 2011 for their WiFi monetisation technology. Trusted Office is not shaken by this and believes it's approach to this prospective market opportunity differs in many ways;
Firstly Trusted Office already has WiFi infrastructure in the UK but the footfall growth is based on the infrastructure growth which is too slow. Many solutions and re-approaches have been devised in order to overcome this lag.
Secondly the infrastructure partners and clients request that revenues from advertisers are shared with them which challenges the motivation of the agency managing the infrastructures growth.
Thirdly the way ROI is achieved for Trusted Office's advertisers is record breaking and far more innovative than anything on today's market. (Click Through Rates on banner ad campaigns were reaching averages of 24% on a recent case study; with social graph integration, this figure exceeds 30%.)
It achieves this historically impressive result by bringing together re-marketing, social graph, geo-targeting and many more cutting edge technologies, many of which are mandatory in order for the platform to simply function at its most basic level.
With so much excitement already brewing from the industry as a whole and everyone involved in the Wave Centre venture, Trusted Office quickly gained x20 new shareholders in the last 2 weeks alone including Chris Smith from CloseUpMedia and Paul Brammer from AdPods who will be working in close harmony to develop premium versions of the Wave Centre product.
With so many great minds working together on this venture in 2012 advertisers can expect to get 100Million Global Impressions per Month from Trusted Office from as early as 2013.
