Google and Facebook Cyber Security Counter Measures
During the development and trials of our Wi-Fi Ad Platform we've encountered all sorts of wonderful new challenges. Our inquisitive nature over the last 10 years (especially with Google's security countermeasures) have lead to what seems like a big game of chess. They constantly introducing new security measures and we constantly find flaws in them. Facebook have surpassed following in Google's footsteps which has moved some of our attention onto them;
There's always going to be a conflict of interest between any alternative approaches to digital marketing and (pardon the expression) the likes of Facebook and Google Ad Platforms. So until such time as our solution becomes an undefeated market leader or is incorporated into Facebook or Google's brand, our cleaver enginuity (which knows no bounds) will need to continue. Here's some screen shots from our playful security warfare with Facebook this week;
Below are 3 reasons why we believe our new approach to digital advertising has caused some cyber warfare with Facebook as well as Google;
1. Facebook has good security that reduces any interception or manipulation between their server and the end users browser. If Facebooks systems detect anything out of the ordinary their website immediately refuses to display. This measure is essential in order to protect their users data of which legal compliance's increase by the day.
In order for our team to make Facebook accessible to our Wi-Fi hotspot users we ethically (and covertly) penetrate and trick that bond between the browser and server (using CGI Proxi etc) in order to introduce our technology solution (which permit superimposed ads that's' revenues accelerate the growth of our Wi-Fi infrastructure thus making our mission of 'free worldwide communication' possible).
2. Facebook's security measures aren't all geared towards keeping data safe. Similar to Google, some aspects are geared towards keeping their ad offering monopolised which can only be expected as the ad revenues are a major asset in our financially motivated society.
Unfortunately in this case Facebooks actions are contradicting their own mission of making the world more open and connected. If they were smarter about this mission statement they'd embrace ad supported Wi-Fi infrastructures instead of upholding it, which would result in new ad revenues that could later be reinvested into growing global telecoms infrastructure and offering internet connectivity for free.
A Wi-Fi advertising platform also combines mobile, local and social capabilities in a much more harmonious way than internet marketing or app store advertising. This results in advertisers receiving richer targeted ads, more clicks, better performing campaigns and improved ROI. For this they're willing to invest more which is why we believe a large proportion of the projected $200 Billion digital advertising spend in 2015 will inevitably end up in this area of digital advertising technology.
3. Facebook haven't commented on this area of their company, they also haven't engaged in discussions with us. But we'd love to hear from them and Google who've remained very quiet about this capability.
By continuing to develop our Ad Supported Wi-Fi technology and Wi-Fi Hotspot infrastructure we're not only making worldwide internet access free and simple but we're simultaneously giving digital advertisers a pioneering new approach to engaging with audiences. This approach is also 20+ times more effective than any internet marketing platform out there.
With our Cisco British Innovation Award just around the corner, perhaps our tech startup will gain the attention of Facebook or Google one day soon and we'll hear what they are doing in this area.
