Moving from Online to OnSpot Advertising

Dr Eric Schmidt (Chairman of Google) outlines why display advertising will soon become a $200 Billion global market. There are many ways to ad value in information systems that influence people. To begin with, the controls of these systems can be simplified, and as technology matures this will happen!

Dr E Schmidt hedges his bets on three key certainties;

Everything Changes; There are always new winners, new ideas & new platform emerging. People are adapting to the union of mobile and display advertising which is causing accelerated growth of this sector. Brands are investing more and more in display advertising.

We'll always be surprised by what's possible; Our intuition about the future is linear but information technology always grows exponentially. Advertising systems can now automatically manage cross platform campaigns to ensure maximum effect. Users of display advertising systems have become better experts on them than Google. We're becoming a real time, iterative society.

This vision of the future doesn't discriminate; The information business has fundamentally always been for elitists. It was always about how difficult it was to get information which only the wealthier west, emerging east and powerful and rich had access to. Over the next few years billions more people will get connected online. Working together it's possible to deliver information to these billions who never otherwise would have made it possible.

Online Advertising isn't a keyword that describes the WiFi display advertising approach to advertising. The internet uses phone lines so internet advertising is commonly referred to as 'Online Advertising'
With WiFi we use the term hotspots, so OnSpot Advertising makes more sense for the emerging sector of WiFi Advertising.

The pioneer in the WiFi Ad sector is an organisation called Wave, who meet all of the criteria of what Google's Eric Schmidt is saying about display advertising innovation in 2013.
